About Us

Congregation Beth David has approximately 175 member households. Our strength lies in the diversity of our members’ backgrounds; some of us have a multi-generational history with the congregation; others have come more recently to San Luis Obispo and to Beth David. We roll out the welcome mat to all ages, all backgrounds, interfaith families, and LGBTQ+ individuals seeking a Jewish community—a spiritual home. We are regarded as one of the county’s most respected centers for Jewish education with a vibrant religious school, active Torah Study, and a focus on lifelong learning.
