Beth David School
Beth David’s acclaimed religious school caters to our most precious commodity: our children—from toddlers to teenagers. Our dedicated and creative teachers foster a love for and appreciation of all aspects of Judaism, preparing students to become B’nai Mitzvot and committed Jewish citizens.
To find out about enrolling your child in our Pre-K through Grade 3 or Grade 4 through Confirmation classes, please Contact us.
We strive to support and strengthen our students’ Jewish identity, empower them to practice mitzvot and integrate tikkum olam into their daily lives, encourage the exploration of Jewish ideas, develop a connection to the land of Israel, and learn to read and embrace the Hebrew language – all through an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum.
My Grown Up And Me brings together children from 2 to 5 years old with their own adult “buddy” (parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all welcome) for fun interactive sessions focused on an upcoming holiday. It’s hard to know who enjoys it more – the kiddos or their adult “learning partners!”

Thursday, May 9th 6:30p to 8:00p
For the past 8 months, Mark Getten has been part of a fellowship with the Jewish Studio Project (JSP), a Berkeley CA based organization that teaches a technique of art making inspired by Judaism. A central theme of JSP is that we are all created creative, and that we all have the capacity to make art, even if we’ve never considered ourselves artists and maybe haven’t made visual art since we were children. The focus is on the process itself, and not on the outcome, so there is no pressure on any participants. As part of Mark’s fellowship, he will be leading a JSP session at Beth David on Thursday, May 9, from 6:30- 8:00 PM. This session is for anyone, whether you are an experienced artist, or whether you’ve always considered yourself completely lacking in artistic ability. Art supplies will be provided, so you only need to bring yourself (and you might want to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.) -
